Pitcher of the Day
The pitcher of the day, in a very close call, is New Market’s Emmett Bice, from Charleston, who threw five shutout innings while allowing two hits, two walks, and striking out six (HIs game score is 67.) . After four starts this summer, he’s now 2-1, 6.09, with 23 K’s in 20 2/3 innings pitched. As you will see below, both Landon Harper and Jacob Haney threw four innings of no-hit ball, and James Vaughn threw another four shutout innings, but Bice was obviously pushed over the top with the extra shutout inning.
